Small offerings

Small offerings, modest treasures, given freely to those you are fond and fondest of, purely for the pleasure of the giving. Food, thrifty finds and found natural treasures are my favourite offerings. Often a gift can sit in waiting for the right moment to be given or for the right person to come along. It's funny (and lovely) when simple visual cues, such as these pressed summers hydrangeas and winters violet in this bowl, can stir deeper thoughts. As happened when I gently placed the flowers onto the base of the china and began to think about the art of gift giving.

Thankyou wonderful Julie - Your words and images always help me find a peaceful place in my day. I am left with such a sence of calm and a reminder to seek the beauty in the details of my world. You reflect your genuine warmth and love for your family to me. Love and thanks back to you, Suzi

I love the little treasures that my children are constantly finding either in the back yard or walking down the street. The world is full of treasures and gifts to be found. :)

Aren't gifts just waiting for someone to be given at the right time. It is so lovely to be in the act of gift giving. Thankyou for the idea! Marnie
