My gal

I have two lovely gals actually, this is my smallest crocheting on a Sunday morning, I think.
I was hoping to upload a few more pics than this but when I tried I was promptly sent a message that I was out of photo storage and seems that I must open the purse before I can upload more.  I have plenty of pics and some to say so will need to pay some attention to this on the weekend. A lovely spring day ....

late winter

Pretty UR Caffe
Winter, I feel we need to say good bye. With many days of grey skies, a heavy head cold and the last few days of rain and storms, I am beginning to wonder when winter will wrap itself and when spring will truly begin. Walking today I saw confused signs of the new season - wind scattered blossoms, wet, bursting seed pods and this beautiful crimson gum leaf. With the end of winter come another change - my daughters 13th birthday on Monday. A little more on that next week.

adelaide when it rains

so many pretty things to look at here - trailer
chai here
coffee and tea here. (K's Pretty hands)
Adelaide is brice and wet. Locals no longer complain about the wet, but still have much to say about the woolly nights and dark cold mornings. Yesterday the rain pounded the cinema roof while I sat warm and dry watching a colourful Toronto summer. The day was spent jumping puddles and seeking refuge when the drizzle moved to drops. The city when it rains can be a wonderful place to be.

Interiors

My inner introvert and I have been hanging out. When work, family and all the rest get too busy I start to feel the pull towards home to keep some balance. There has been a whole lotta baking, craft, music and spontaneous dancing; keeping me feeling content and on course.

Autumn at the Cedars

Yesterdays visit to the Heysen family home and Han's and Nora's studios. Beautiful old home almost untouched, not lived in since Han's died in 68, making the past seem almost within reach. Cupboards still full of old clothes, even Sally's 1904 wedding dress remains. A lovely misty drive home through the hills, yellow wild flowers on the road side. Hello Autumn, I now see you are here.

Hello there!

Still here! Although just a little quiet of late but I have plans to change that. Take care and have a lovely weekend. We are off to Womadelaide tomorrow and will certainly be taking my camera along.

and the heat goes on

hot plumbs
It has been really very hot here for a long time now. The BOM say 34 but after a week or so of dry heat and still nights it feels so much hotter. My little one has been unwell all week, the doctor reported bronchitis this morning. So this week has seen us spending most of our days inside, away from the relief of the pool and beach, with cabin fever geting the better of us all now and then. On the up side, I am anticipating the coming Adelaide Festival. I am quietly excited about Jane Birkin singing Serge.
