7 Flowers - Wisteria

Day 7 - Saturday. Wisteria, like fruit blossoms, seem to flower overnight. Wisteria has such a heady scent and is an immediate reminder of last years warmth. I photographed these Wisteria yesterday. The sun was high and I think this is why the flowers appear a little transparent and why the colours are so unusual. This is the last posting for this short project:-)

WOW! This looks like a print or ink drawing...gorgeous! i love wisteria - when its dormant the vine, especially on old ones, is great to look at too.

Congrats on the completion of your project - a real good'n'! Do you know what variety of wisteria yours is? So far (until your photo) I've only seen the 'weeping' type - will try to get a pic of Jules' vine to show you. If I can work out how to focus my cam!

I have never seen wisteria from this angle (under)! The colour in the background of your photograph is so beautiful.
