Old Laurel

This Camphor Laurel grows in the middle of our backyard. It appears that it was cut down at some point as there is a big old stump in the middle of surrounding slim trunks. The original tree could be around 50 years old while the trunks are maybe 10 years old or so. It is a beautiful tree and we all agree that it is the best part of the backyard.

Juile, I don't know how you do it, but whenever I see any of your nature-inspired photographs, I feel such a sense of calm, beauty and nurture. Do you just find the leaves lying around like this, or do you arrange them that way? I feel so lovely inside after seeing them - every time! Thank You for sharing them with us x

Thankyou Chrissy for your lovely comment. I must admit that I did arrange these laurel leaves - I often try to not to but there were lovely variations in age and colour and I wanted to show them all x.

Just beautiful! You have a real knack for composing them so that they almost have a voice! They;d be great images on greeting cards I think!
