making

A fun day at home today. We baked and made my little one and I. These days are becoming like gold now that she has started at school and I am finding that we are doing many of our old favourites on her odd days at home. The oat cookies were a winner and will be popped into tomorrows lunch boxes.

Oat cookies -

1 cup of butter, 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs, dash of vanilla, 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, pinch of salt, 2 cups oats. - cream butter and sugar, beat in eggs, add vanilla, sift in flour, soda, salt then stir in oats. Cook at moderate heat for about 15 minutes until golden. x

Oh, bloody hell. Now I want an oat cookie. It's the beginning of the end. Then I'll want oat slice and sultanas and then it'll be porridge and then I'll be on the way to sitting around under blankets and not bothering with my daily run. And then sigh, it'll be a new wardrobe of plus-size outfits. Arghh, what have you done. :)

The oat cookies are still haunting me. Girl Guide biscuits you say. Hmmm, I think I am supposed to put an order in.
