shine

Winter sun in the garden. Little one carefully selecting weeds; mallow, sour sob, dandelion, clover, and delicately arranging them as if they were sweet cottage flowers. Handsome cat looking on, nice and plump in his winter coat.

What a sweet cat, he looks very sensible! I remember sour sobs from when I lived in Adelaide, we don't seem to have them here.

We walked past a house yesterday that had a sea of yellow sour sobs in their front garden. My sweet 5 said "they are not sour sobs they are beautiful yellow flowers, what a pretty garden " Such an unfortunate name for a pretty flower. I didn't have the heart to tell her that they are also weeds...

our backyard is full of soursobs, and they are offered in proud little bunches to be arranged into vases.
Hope you enjoy a little more sunshine during the holidays.

our cats winter coat is on too!
Simple pleasures; time; light; perfectly captured and then set free x

I never knew they were called soursobs ... we have similar little yellow 'weed' flowers here in Queensland which I grew up calling 'pee your pants flowers'.

By the way, I've often wondered ~ who determines a weed as a weed? They're all natures delicate creations :)
