Oh my God Julie both pictures are just stunning, the luminescence is so beautiful in the first, like a B&W on the old silver plates (bromides?) and the second: the back lighting is sublime on the edges of the grain so sharp but balanced by the focus softly droping away. and a lovely contrast to the background. You're BACK! hope you are feeling much better and settling in. your photos always suggest lazy leisure, i love how you find that in what i am sure is a busy day.
