lost in transmission

Yikes! We have been mostly without an internet connection for over a week. Last week found me thumbing my way through the white pages, listening to news radio, paying a bill at the post office and missing my blog place and visiting everyone elses. This is the little basket and shoes I picked up yesterday which I think will go perfectly with this dress.

lovely morning light, the folds and creases, the colours... later in the day we four went to the wonderful ABC sound studios to hear a free recital. I think I enjoyed being in the warmth of all that 70's wood panelling and original brown wool carpet as much as listening to the music.

thanks to Saturdays school fair we now have a new box of raggedy and damp smelling children's books (not complaining, promise) to sort through. Do you remember Puffin picture books in your school library? Well, it looks like many in the box are of that vintage. Some gems include Rosie's Walk and The Surprise Party by Pat Hutchins which gave my little one and I the giggles. I love her drawing and the colours she uses.
